After the sudden death of their older brother, Dezzy (16) and Oscar (15) spend the summer up north at their Grandma's house. Unlike Oscar, who spends his time desperately trying to grow up and impress their older cousin (who steals and sells doormats for a living), Dezzy becomes fascinated with a mysterious creature in the woods that no one else seems to see. Set in a remote area of the Ontario woods where the people waste their time and there’s something spectacularly unsettling about the forests, ‘Middle of Nowhere’ explores grief as the unknown.
